Lytle Police Report Dec. 3-9


Dec. 3

10:30 AM – Officer responded to CVS Pharmacy and talked to complainant in regards to an unknown person who had cut the propane cage and attempted to remove the propane bottles.
11:00 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 N for a report of boards on the roadway. Officer located three 2x4s laying on the roadway. Debris was removed.
12:00 PM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Norvell St. to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient.
12:22 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus and assisted an elderly woman to locate her lost car. Officer located the vehicle and loaded the groceries into her vehicle.
12:43 PM – While on patrol at Best Western Plus, officer noticed two vehicles parked in the back corner of Best Western with a man and a woman standing behind the vehicles. Officer spoke with both, who were not guests at the hotel and stated they were just having a conversation.
3:08 PM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of First St. to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient.
3:34 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a dog in a vehicle.
7:15 PM – Officer responded to 19400 Blk. of S. Prairie St. to unlock a vehicle.
9:15 PM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a suspicious person walking through the parking lot. Officer initiated contact; all was fine.
Dec. 4
11:35 AM – Officer responded to US Post Office to unlock a vehicle.
11:45 AM – Officer responded to 63200 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a civil matter – standby.
12:57 PM – Officer responded to 20100 Blk. of Kensington Court for a report of a theft of 60 bundles of roof shingles from a residence currently under construction.
2:00 PM – Officer responded to City Hall (14900 Blk. of Main St.) to pick up a cell phone found at John Lott Park.
4:25 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
5:35 PM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of First St. and talk to complainant in regards to a verbal disagreement between neighbors.
7:40 PM – Officer responded to McDonald St. at Railroad St. for a report of a possible disturbance alongside the roadway between the motorist and the passenger. Officer checked the area, unable to locate the vehicle.
8:10 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a pickup truck parked in the fire lane with the vehicle’s high beams activated blinding customers crossing the pedestrian cross walk. Officer searched for the vehicle, unable to locate.
8:35 PM – Officer responded to Lytle High School to assist Medina Co. SRO with a field contact involving a student.
Dec. 5
8:06 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a theft of a purse and contents. The purse was accidentally left in the shopping cart. The phone was tracked down to Dilley and Dilley PD attempted to locate the phone without success.
11:35 AM – Officer responded to 19600 Blk. of Benton St. for a report of a vehicle missing from complainant’s residence. Lytle PD had been notified by a repossession company that the vehicle would be repossessed that evening.
12:38 PM – Officers responded to IH 35 SB at Mile Marker 130 and assisted Texas DPS Highway Patrol with a vehicle crash.
1:51 PM – Officers responded to IH 35 S at Mile Marker 131 for a vehicle fire. It turned out a truck tractor semi-trailer overheated. There was not vehicle fire. Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. extinguished a grass fire in the center median.
2:05 PM – Officer responded to Valero to unlock a vehicle.
5:30 PM – Officer responded to 14700 Blk. of Main St. for a report of yelling by unknown person. Officer checked the area but was unable to locate any property.
8:30 PM – Officer responded to US Renal Care for an alarm.
Dec. 6
8:10 AM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Lake St. to unlock a vehicle.
9:32 AM – Officer responded to Railroad St (behind the Post Office area) for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on Railroad St. with a young man acting nervous and taking stuff in and out of the vehicle. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
12:50 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and reported receiving a letter from IRS stating that complainant’s social security number was being used by someone in New Jersey.
3:16 PM – Officers responded to IH 35 at Mile Marker 133 SB for a report of a bag in the road. The call was cancelled prior to officers’ arrival.
10:53 PM – Traffic stop at N. Prairie St. and Laredo St. resulted in the arrest of a 20-year-old subject for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Subject was cited and released.
Dec. 7
1:02 AM – Officer responded to 18000 Blk. of Main St. at Bexar Co. Line and assisted Texas DPS Highway Patrol with a minor accident.
1:58 AM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Oak St. for a report of an alarm. Officer found the residence to be secure.
10:46 AM – Officers responded to HEB C-Store to unlock a vehicle.
3:46 PM – Officers responded to Lytle True Value and seized contraband (Meth) that was left at the store.
Dec. 8
4:30 AM – Officer responded to Lake Shore Dr. at Lake Wind St. for a report of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was red tagged.
9:58 AM – Officers responded to Days Inn for a report of an abandoned vehicle.
10:17 AM – While on patrol at 15000 Blk. of Main St. officers observed a small black dog running in and out of traffic. Animal Control Officer was attempting to capture the dog. Officers assisted animal control.
10:23 AM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a shoplifter. Officers arrived and cited a 17-year-old subject for Theft < $100. Subject was also given a verbal Criminal Trespass warning.
7:35 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus and talked to complainant in regards to a shopping cart causing damage to the complainant’s vehicle.
Dec. 9
11:56 AM – Officer responded to FM 3175 at Naegelin Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. with a suspicious noise call.
