Lady Pirates go 3-2 at Blanco

The Lady Pirates traveled over to Blanco for a tournament over the weekend and went 3-2 against some tough teams. Lytle played their first district game last night against Poth. This Friday, the Lady Pirates will host Cotulla and then head to Natalia on March 14th.
After losing their first two games in the tournament to Crockett 7-11 and Blanco 3-13, the Lady Pirates bounced back and beat the next three teams. They beat Bandera 9-7, Marion 6-2, and Pieper 9-7.
“Moriah Gomez pitched vs Blanco, Bandera, Marion. Addison Criado pitched vs Crockett, Bandera, Pieper. Natalie Pacheco was behind the plate for all the games. She also did well at the plate, leading our offense. Eliza Molina, Calyssa Sevier, Kaylee Diaz and Alyssa Montalvo caught the ball well in outfield, as Moriah Gomez and Danica Martinez created outs in the infield. This was a good tournament to end preseason. They worked hard and made the adjustments needed to improve,” added Coach Tammie Tilley.
