Heartbreaker for Freshman Arabians

Facing Somerset on January 18th, the Freshman Arabians took the game to the wire. The close game ended 25-23 in the Bulldogs favor but the Arabians made them work hard for the win. Now 4-6 for the season, the Freshman are scheduled to play Brooks Academy on January 25th and Fox Tech on January 28th.
“The girls came out strong in the first quarter. We were able to make stops and were able to make moves offensively to put us up early. They started to press us which did slow us down in the 2nd as we went into half time with just a three-point lead. At the half, we made a lot of adjustments for the press and talked about what we needed to do defensively to keep getting stops. Unfortunately, we struggled taking care of the ball and weren’t able to finish on some keys plays in the 2nd half which led us to a devastating two-point loss. We learned a lot and can’t wait for another match up in a couple of weeks,” Coach Kara Stacy.
