Devine Police Report Nov. 9-15


Nov. 9

12:30 PM – A female subject was trying to drive through a low water crossing on W. Colonial Pkwy. The gates were not closed. Officer made location and closed the gates.
1:03 PM – Possibly disabled 18-wheeler on side of road near Exit 122 off-ramp. All was okay; truck was moved.
Nov. 10
7:15 AM – Deceased deer in roadway on E. Hondo Ave. Deer was removed from roadway.
12:05 PM – Complainant in the 200 block of S. Bright Dr. reported a red PT Cruiser on location. The caller wanted to make sure it wasn’t stolen. Officers made contact with the owner, who advised it broke down and they will have it moved.
12:55 PM – Complainant in the 500 block of Washington Dr. reported an unknown person(s) rang her doorbell the previous night around 2:00 AM.
3:50 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of Renfro Dr. reported his neighbor’s goats on his property. Complainant advised it is an ongoing issue. Complainant was informed that Animal Control would contact him on Monday.
6:44 PM – Officer dispatched to the 700 block of N. Teel Dr. in reference to a male subject on location. Subject departed location before officer arrived.
8:09 PM – Officer dispatched to Walmart in reference to a vehicle parked near fire lane management. Had vehicle moved.
9:52 PM – Complainant in the 300 block of N. Sayers Dr. advised that he hit a deer in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave.
9:50 PM – A male patient in the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. was picked up by his boarding home. Everything was okay.
10:18 PM – Complainant in the 500 block of Wedgewood Way had a minor accident with a deer in the 800 block of Transportation Dr. No damage. Complainant did not want to file a report.
Nov. 11
11:18 AM – Verbal disturbance on the phone. Parties separated; all was okay.
3:44 PM – Officers assisted Natalia PD with a physical disturbance involving multiple subjects and weapons on 4th St. One male subject was transported to University Hospital. Multiple people were arrested.
11:04 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. A female subject was cited and released.
Nov. 12
12:13 PM – Officer dispatched to the 600 block of Hickory Hwy. in reference to a male subject on location. The subject departed location prior to officer’s arrival.
12:29 PM – Female walking in the 200 block of Harralton Cir. Unable to locate.
Nov. 13
2:32 AM – Officer spoke to a male subject in a parked car off IH-35 NB. Vehicle maintenance was going to be completed. All was okay.
12:53 PM – An adult male subject in the 600 block of Rossville Dr. was taken into custody for an emergency detention and transported to the VA hospital in San Antonio.
Nov. 14
9:10 AM – Child abuse/neglect case on Tuttle Dr.
1:10 PM – A woman’s wallet was located by a FedEx employee. The wallet was returned to its owner.
1:20 PM – Officers assisted DPS with an 18-wheeler broken down on IH-35 SB. 30-minute ETA for maintenance crew to arrive.
3:20 PM – Complainant at Devine Middle School advised there are vehicles blocking the right of way.
3:47 PM – Complainant in the 1300 block of Hwy. 173 N. reported four white male subjects acting suspiciously inside and outside of the store.
4:19 PM – A James Avery silver chain with a charm was stolen at DMS.
Nov. 15
10:38 AM – Complainant in the 500 block of W. Hondo Ave. advised a male subject was on her property stating he was with an electric company and needed to replace her meter. Complainant advised the subject could not provide his credentials. Officer made location and subject was no longer on property and everything appeared okay.
7:20 PM – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of E. Park in reference to a male on the porch of an abandoned house. Officer made contact with the subject, who said he was told to go to the residence by a friend. Officer advised it was a vacant home. All was okay.
7:50 PM – Officer dispatched to the 400 block of Lee in reference to a male and female in a physical altercation. Neither wanted to pursue charges. Parties separated for the evening.
