August 24
12:19 PM – Officers assisted Natalia PD in attempting to locate a dark blue or black Chevy Suburban with no front or back license plates that was involved with a theft at the Dollar Store in Natalia.
August 25
12:36 AM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 300 block of Bowman Ave. The female driver was found to have a suspended license and was cited and released.
1:27 PM – A caller located a black wallet in the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. The owner came to PD and picked up the wallet.
3:07 PM – Officer dispatched to the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. in reference to a school bus that had the windows covered up and no license plate. Officer made contact with the owner, who advised the license plate just fell off. All was okay.
7:00 PM – A juvenile female was transported to the hospital for an emergency detention.
August 26
1:30 AM – Officers provided cover and support for DPS with a DWI in the 200 block of E. Colonial Pkwy.
8:26 AM – Complainant in the 1100 block of N. Windy Knoll Dr. reported the burglary of a motor vehicle between the hours of 3:00 AM and 3:30 AM. All windows except the front windshield were shattered, the tail lights were broken, and the bed of the truck was damaged. A gun and knives were taken from the vehicle.
8:10 PM – Complainant reported credit card abuse at Walmart by person(s) unknown.
10:45 PM – Officer assisted the Medina County Sheriff’s Office with serving a felony warrant on a male subject.
11:12 PM – Officers assisted DPS with a stranded motorist on IH-35 SB.
August 27
4:54 AM – Officer assisted EMS with restraining a combative female subject in the 100 block of W. Hondo Ave.
8:20 AM – Officer assisted an 18-wheeler driver on Ingram Rd. for clearness to deliver a shipment to the golf course. Driver was able to take Libold Dr.
12:17 PM – School Zone lights on E. Hondo Ave. not turning on during lunch hour. TxDot was notified.
1:21 PM – Complainant in the 1000 block of W. Hondo Ave. reported a suspicious white truck was parked in the driveway. Officer was unable to locate; home was secure.
3:50 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation on CR 5710 N. The male driver was found to have an active warrant, be in possession of less than 2 oz. of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and was unlawfully carrying a weapon (illegal club) and was jailed. A male passenger and female passenger were cited for drug paraphernalia and released.
August 28
7:18 AM – Complainant in the 400 block of W. Benton Ave. found three bicycles on his property. Public Works picked up the bicycles.
8:12 AM – School Zone lights not working on FM 2200 coming from CR 5710. TxDot notified.
12:17 PM – School Zone lights on Hondo Ave. still not working at lunch. Officer re-contacted TxDot and followed up with ETA.
12:31 PM – A Bud Light delivery truck backed into a maroon SUV in the 500 block of E. Hondo Ave.
1:16 PM – The drive thru window of a restaurant in the 100 block of S. Teel Dr. was struck by a customer’s vehicle. Employee on location received the driver’s name and phone number.
August 29
12:17 AM – Officers arrested a female subject in the 100 block of Howard Wallace Dr. on Devine, Bexar County, and Frio County warrants.
7:45 AM – Officer dispatched to the 100 block of Fernandez in reference to shots fired in the area and spoke with homeowners who advised everything was okay and that they believed a vehicle had backfired.
8:07 AM – The male driver of a vehicle involved in a two-car crash in the 300 block of E. Hondo Ave. was found to have a suspended license and was cited and released.
2:55 PM – Two female students at Devine Middle School were found with contraband in the restroom.
4:09 PM – Officer removed debris from roadway in the 100 block of W. Hondo Ave.
6:00 PM – Officer dispatched to the 400 block of Mockingbird Ln. in reference to a female subject and her 12-year-old son over discipline issues.
9:15 PM – Officer dispatched to Fay in reference to a male subject dressed all in black with a camouflage backpack running in the area. Officer patrolled the area and spoke with pedestrians at the stadium who said they didn’t see anyone matching the description. Unable to locate.
August 30
10:17 AM – Complainant came into PD to speak to officer. During the conversation, the female subject stated she felt suicidal and was transported to University Hospital.
11:16 AM – A vehicle was parked in a handicap spot of a business in the 100 block of E. Hondo Ave. prior to 7:30 AM. All was okay; the vehicle belonged to a customer.
11:35 AM – A railroad tie in the 200 block of S. Commercial was smoldering. The Devine VFD and Union Pacific Railroad were notified.
11:40 AM – Two female students at Devine Middle School were being physical with each other. Parents were contacted.
12:37 PM – A student at Devine High School reported that her sister’s jewelry was taken from the locker room during athletics on August 28.
11:35 PM – A female subject made entry through the back door of a home in the 400 block of Mockingbird Ln. and assaulted her ex-husband.
