Covid case count rises to 111 in Medina County

Medina County’s active COVID-19 case count for 12/13/2021 is 111 up from 83 last week and no change in the fatality report. COVID-19 booster doses are available and it is a good time to come in and get yours before the holiday. The Pfizer vaccine has recently expanded the age group for Pfizer booster doses to age 16 and up.
Register for any COVID-19 vaccine at vaccine.medinatx.org for initial doses or booster doses.
Also, Medina County Health Unit has doses of flu vaccine at no cost for uninsured adults. Call our office if you qualify for a flu dose.

People that are fully vaccinated age 5 and older:
Medina County 55.10% up from 53.87%
Texas 60.43% up from 59.61%

People 5 years of age and older who have been fully vaccinated: 26,840, an additional 601 persons in our county are fully vaccinated since last week.
For children aged 5-15, 1718 children in this age group have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Medina County.
