Busby signs to play golf for Schreiner University

Senior Devine Arabian Kayla Busby signed a letter of intent to play golf for Schreiner University in Kerrville beginning with the 2019-20120 season. Kayla is currently preparing to defend her District 29-4A individual championship, which she accomplished last year.
Today was a great day for Kayla and her dad, Jerry Busby, and for her mom, Jennifer Wofford. Kayla has worked endlessly and at every opportunity with Jerry to improve her game to become a solid golfer. Jennifer is supportive in Kayla’s desire to get better and to become a college golfer.
It is awesome that Kayla’s parents get to share in her special day and outstanding accomplishments. It has been Coach PJ Well’s and my pleasure for Kayla to play for us the last two seasons. She has represented DHS with class, and we are looking forward to the upcoming season.
Schreiner University golf coach Sarah Meyer regarding the opportunity to teach Kayla next season. “We are delighted to have Kayla join our Schreiner Golf family and university. She leads by example with her incredible work ethic on the course and in the classroom. I know she will be an integral part to our program’s future success. Congratulations Kayla, you are now a Mountaineer!”
