Arabians receive District awards

Many members of the 2017 Arabian Varsity Team earned district awards this year and all members of the team were named Academic All District.
Co-MVPS were seniors Addie Trojanowski and Chesney Friesenhahn. Defensive MVP was awarded to senior Makenna Morales. The Outstanding Setter award was earned by senior Sydney Rendon. First Team All-District was awarded to juniors Sierra Pompa and Alissa Stehle. Second Team All-District was earned by seniors Amanda Richardson and Caimee Fowler. There were also two honorable mentions; senior Elizabeth Puente and junior Dana Aaron.
Season Totals
The Arabians had a total of 239 aces; Trojanowski 71, Morales 51, Friesenhahn 38, Richardson 29, Stehle 18, Rendon 16, Elizabeth Puente 9, Julie Ortiz 5, and Fowler and Aaron 1 each. They had a grand total of 1,356 kills; Trojanowski 432, Pompa 403, Friesenhahn 333, Stehle 72, Megan Runyan 49, Fowler 36, Aaron 23, Rendon 5, Richardson 2 and Morales 1. Also, making it over 1,000 was the 1,237 assists made by Trojanowski 736, Rendon 402, Morales 74, Friesenhahn 13, Stehle 6, Richardson 3, and Pompa, Runyan and Puente each with 1.
Defensively they scored 108 blocks; Friesenhahn 60, Aaron 17, Trojanowski 11, Pompa 9, Stehle and Fowler 5 each and Runyan 1. They also had 2,367 digs; Morales 855, Friesenhahn 357, Trojanowski 284, Rendon 273, Richardson 190, Stehle 114, Pompa 88, Puente 66, Ortiz 45, Runyan 41, Aaron 33, and Fowler 21.
The Arabians finished their season 32-9.
The Arabians had a great and successful season and made many accomplishments.
