Arabian volleyball practice starts Aug. 2

The Arabians are headed back to volleyball practice on August 2nd. Coach Leigh Ann McIver and her team are ready for a new season and the challenges this year will bring. After being undefeated in district and 21-10 overall, the Arabians are set to repeat being district champions and look to improve their overall record. With three varsity tournaments, one Freshman/JV tournament, and over a dozen preseason games, the Arabians will be well prepared to take on district starting September 24th. The Arabians have a great base from last season to build on with just a few players graduating.
Before the Arabians take on their opponents, they have to make it through a tough 2-a-day schedule starting Monday, August 2nd, at 9:00 am to 12:00 and then 2:00 to 4:00 pm. At 6:30 there will be a parents meeting in the High School gym. After a rough week of conditioning and skill work, the Arabians will have a scrimmage in Navarro on Friday and then on Saturday, the varsity will take on the Alumni at 11:00 after the freshman play the JV.
The Arabians will have their first home game on August 17th against Poteet and Ingram and then host the 17th Annual Varsity Roundup August 19-21st. The Devine Freshman/JV tournament will be held September 11th.
