The Arabian golf team continues to improve at the Devine and Pleasanton tournaments.
Devine Tournament
The Arabians used their home tournament on Monday to make minor adjustments and strides in their game. Shelby Spivey, Kayla Busby, Rebecca Fowler, and Caimee Fowler continue to prepare for the district tournament coming up in April.
The players are tinkering with different parts of their game right now. Coach Wells and I are encouraging the players to be aggressive in these types of tournaments so when we do have the district tournament in Devine, our girls won’t be afraid to make mistakes and will attack each hole to shoot a low score.
Pleasanton Golf Invitational
Spivey, Busby, and Rebecca Fowler participated in the Pleasanton golf invitational last Tuesday. The girls competed as medalists since there were not 5 players to make a complete team.
I believe each competed to the best of their ability even though their scores weren’t what they were hoping to shoot. However, Kayla was able to get her second tournament of the year under her belt while Shelby and Rebecca participated in their first. Each will improve as the season continues.
