In their first football game, the 7th grade Colts won their scrimmage 3-1 after some very impressive plays. Even with the mistakes they made, the Colts stepped up to show what they have learned and put plays into action. “We made some mistakes which is to be expected in the first real game action. The great thing is mistakes are fixable,” said Coach Quenton Sanders. Gabriel Esquibel had a 70 touchdown run. Sam Guardiola ran his touchdown in from 65 yards out and only made it in with an impressive block down field from teammate Elijah Sanchez. Sanchez would score his own touchdown after a 63 yard run. On defense Derrick Razo stepped up and made some great tackles.
“The ceiling is high for this group if we can fix the little things, and continue to work hard. I am pretty excited to see what the future holds for these guys.” Coach Sanders.
