The Devine Warhorse Band achieved record success this Saturday at the ATSSB All-Region 11 Band Auditions, placing 17 students in the All Region Bands!!
There seven students will be advancing to the Area Auditions with an opportunity to advance to the All-State Band: They are:
Josephine Taitano, Symphonic Band, 5th chair Flute, AREA.
Madilynne Mohr, Symphonic Band, 9th chair Clarinet, AREA.
Chris Salazar, Symphonic Band, 4th chair Alto Saxophone, AREA.
Amy Robinson, Symphonic Band, 1st chair Bassoon, AREA.
Chris Esquibel, Concert Band, 2nd chair Trombone, AREA.
Tanner Hardcastle, Symphonic Band, 3rd chair Tuba, AREA.
Andrea Sanchez, Symphonic Band, 1st chair Percussion, AREA.
These ten students also earned a chair in the All-Region Band:
Clarissa Maldonado, Concert Band, 7th chair Clarinet.
Alyssa Rodriguez, Concert Band, 8th chair Clarinet.
Felicity Diaz, Concert Band, 2nd chair Bass Clarinet.
Christian Osorio, Symphonic Band, 5th chair French Horn.
Brian Schaefer, Concert Band, 2nd chair Trumpet.
Anahii Ramirez, Concert Band, 9th chair Trumpet.
Isabella Elias, Symphonic Band, 4th chair Baritone.
Caleb Martin, Symphonic Band, 8th chair Percussion.
Pauline Calame, Concert Band, 2nd chair Percussion.
Peter Valerio, Concert Band, 8th chair Percussion.
These students will practice with their All Regions Bands all day this Friday, December 7, and Saturday morning, December 8 and participate for their upcoming concerts on Saturday afternoon, starting at 2:00 p.m. in Pleasanton.
“All of these students achieved success in record numbers for the Warhorse Band, having practiced to prepare for this audition for several months! To put it all in perspective, there were 385 students competing from across south central Texas!”, said Jeff Miller, Director of Bands, Devine ISD.
