WWI lecture at Shooting Star Museum Oct. 7


The Shooting Star Museum presents the fourth discussion in the “2018 – 100 years since end of WWI” lecture series.
On Sunday, October 7 SSgt John Aken (Ret.) will speak about “America in Battle.” The 3:00 pm program highlights the final battles in France that the American forces fought in. The addition of the American forces accelerated the German surrender on November 11, 1918.
You won’t want to miss the final presentation on November 11 at the Museum. This will be a day of celebration with displays of WWI memorabilia, flag raising by Pearsall AFJROTC, and the call to cease fire occurring at 11:00 am.
Come learn more about the First World War, and “Follow the WWI Flag” through its battles in Europe to the Armistice on Nov 11, 1018. The Museum is honored to have on display the American flag which flew at all the 1st Army headquartered sites in France during this war.
