William Sim Pruitt, Jr.

Born in Sanderson, Texas in 1934 to William Sim Pruitt and Goldie Marie Clark Pruitt. Sim received the Lone Star Farmers degree from Natalia Chapter FFA. After graduating Natalia High School in 1951, Sim attended college for two years in Uvalde. He joined the Air Force in December 1954. After 20 years of service he retired, and was then employed by Boeing at Kelly Air Force Base.
Sim is survived by Donna, his wife of 41 years; his four children, Billy, David, Cheryl, and Sharon, two stepchildren, David and Jeff; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; nine siblings; and many nephews and nieces.
Accomplished in many things, his humor and talent came out in his woodworking. Sim was a lifelong outdoorsman and loved camping, hunting, and fishing. He competed in the Air Force as a marksman in all shooting competitions. He loved skeet, along with pitching for the Air Force baseball team.
There will be a memorial service held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery on Tuesday, October 10 at 11:00 am.
