We were busy feeding the sheep and I did not notice when he walked up. He stayed with the other baby lambs while their mothers were eating. Maybe it was the pure snow white color or maybe his size because he was a couple of inches taller than the other lambs.
Every time we went to feed those sheep I looked for him. Sometimes I would see him and his mother coming across the pasture and he might be skipping or hopping or running in circles around her. Yes, he is a lamb but he is little different from the others. That little lamb reminds me of something about God. God loves us very much and he wants us to be close to him, (reconciled). He provided a way that we could be brought close to Him, (1 Peter 3:18). He planned it long ago and waited until the right time to put His plan into action, (Romans 5:6, Revelation 1:5). He did that when He sent his only Son, Jesus Christ, to be born of a virgin and to live a few short years, about thirty three or so. Part of God’s plan was for His only Son to give His life for our sins, (John 1:29, Romans 5:8). Not only His death but also His resurrection from the grave is very important because he conquered sin and death, (Romans 4:20-25, 5:1-11). See You in Church next Sunday. Brother J
