At the December meeting of the Devine Garden Club, a certificate from the National Garden Clubs, Inc. was presented to Sondra Rackley by President Elsa Rodriguez. The certificate noted that a monetary donation for seedling trees to be planted in Texas National and/or State Forests was made in memory of Shannon Rackley Rangel. This project is part of a collaboration between the National Forest Service and the National Garden Clubs, Inc. and was voted on by the members of the garden club at the November meeting.
