Mustang baseball ready for the season

The Varsity Mustangs’ regular season begins Feb. 20.

The Natalia Mustang Baseball team lost a very talented and large group of seniors a season ago, but they are ready to go to war with a young yet feisty group this season. Once again, the Mustangs will bed led by Head Coach Philip Martinez along with assistants Jeff Terry and Ruben Garcia.
Natalia opened scrimmage play last Saturday at home vs. the Lytle Pirates. Natalia was able to edge the Pirates 8-6 when it came to runs scored.
On press day, Natalia was set to travel way down U.S. 90 to Brackett where they were set to battle the Tigers at 5:00 p.m.
Scrimmage play will wrap up Friday on the road as they battle Randolph at 4:30 p.m.
The Mustangs open their 2017-2018 season this coming Tuesday, February 20th at home as the John F. Kennedy Rockets come to town for a 4:30 p.m. JV and a 7:00 p.m. Varsity contest.
