Lytle Police Report Oct. 15-21


Oct. 15

12:13 AM – Officer initiated a field contact with a suspicious bicyclist at the Pump House Carwash. No signs of criminal activity.
12:53 AM – Officer dispatched to the 15000 Blk. of Main Street for a reckless driver.
8:41 AM – Officer provided a courtesy ride to a stranded motorist from IH 35 S. to the Whataburger.
10:31 AM – Officers provided a funeral escort from Hurley Funeral Home to Lytle Community Cemetery.
11:05 AM – Officer conducted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle on Mesquite Street. The 20-year-old male driver was arrested for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. The 19-year-old male passenger was arrested for Theft $100-$750 and an active Burglary Arrest Warrant out of Medina County. Both subjects were booked into the Atascosa County Jail. This was the vehicle that was stolen at the HEB C-Store on the prior night.
11:36 AM – Officer assisted Pleasanton PD with recovering stolen property on the 14600 Blk. of McDonald Street. Lytle PD also recovered a Suzuki motorcycle engine and frame (bike stolen out of New Braunfels) and a Harley Davidson motorcycle engine (stolen out of San Antonio).
Oct. 16
12:25 PM – Officer was dispatched to HEB Plus for a customer who allegedly fell and injured himself. The individual departed prior to EMS and law enforcement’s arrival.
5:35 PM – Officer was dispatched to John Lott Park for a report of juveniles smoking in a baseball dugout. The juveniles departed prior to the officer’s arrival.
Oct. 17
11:05 AM – Officer responded to the 15000 Blk. of Harbour Street for a report of missing medication.
2:10 PM – Officer assisted a disabled motorist on Oak @ Martin Street.
4:50 PM – A driver’s license and other identifying information was found on the 19000 Blk. of McDonald St. and turned in for safekeeping.
7:35 PM – Officer responded to N. Benton Street for a young child walking on the roadway. The child was returned home.
11:09 PM – Officer met with a complainant regarding a verbal disturbance that occurred on the 19800 Blk. of N. Pecan Street.
Oct. 18
9:40 AM – Officer responded to the 15000 Blk. of Harbour Street for a follow up regarding missing medication.
12:05 PM – Officer was notified of a vehicle repo on Office Street.
12:50 PM – Officer responded to the 15000 Blk. of Main Street regarding a child riding unsecured in a vehicle.
1:30 PM – Officer responded to Priest Blvd regarding a 911 call placed via cell phone. The caller wasn’t located.
4:45 PM – Officer assisted with unlocking a vehicle at the Lytle State Bank.
5:10 PM – Officer assisted a disabled motorist on IH 35 at FM 2790 East.
5:15 PM – Officer responded to the HEB C-Store for a report of a reckless driver.
Oct. 19
2:12 AM – Officer responded to the 19700 Blk. of Bruce Street for extra patrols.
11:40 AM – Officer responded to the area of Main Street at McDonald Street in reference to a suspicious person.
12:30 PM – Officer responded to the Camino Real Crisis Unit after a patient walked out of the facility and left in a vehicle. Officer checked the area but was unable to locate.
1:30 PM – Officer responded to the HEB Plus for a 1 vehicle accident.
4:45 PM – Officer assisted with unlocking a vehicle at the HEB Plus.
Oct. 20
10:25 AM – Officer was contacted at the PD in reference to a minor accident that occurred on 10/14/18 at the HEB Plus.
12:55 PM – Officer responded to the 19800 Blk. of FM 2790 for a welfare check.
3:22 PM – Officer responded to the Dollar General for a welfare check.
3:26 PM – Officer responded to the 18800 Blk. of Wisdom Road for a dog running at large.
6:29 PM – Officer responded to the Pecan Grove Apts. for a dog running at large.
Oct. 21
3:16 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 for a reckless driver.
11:10 AM – Officer was dispatched to the MC Self Storage for a rental unit that had the lock drilled out (the unit had been locked by the landlord for non-payment). An attempt was made to contact the owner.
1:27 PM – Officer was flagged down by a complainant who wanted to report his wallet as lost. The wallet was lost while at the HEB Plus the previous night.
1:38 PM – Officer was flagged down by the complainant who wanted to report a possible theft (approx. $120 in cash) that occurred at Naomi’s Diner. The complainant decided to not file a report and to speak with the person of interest first.
3:07 PM – Officer was originally dispatched to IH 35 at mile marker 132 to assist EMS. The incident was found on TX 132 at IH 35 and was a crash. LPD assisted until BCSO arrived.
7:07 PM – Officer responded to FM 2790 N @ Cottage St. for a welfare check.
7:11 PM – Officer was dispatched to IH 35 for a possible narcotics carrier headed north on IH 35. Officer located the vehicle, but was unable to develop probable cause for a stop. LPD followed the vehicle until SAPD was able to intercept it.
9:52 PM – Officer responded to the 63300 Blk. of San Jose St. for a disturbance.
