The Devine Garden Club is proud to announce that we will be celebrating our 70th Anniversary as a club in Devine, Texas. As the oldest garden club in Medina County, we have been privileged to enjoy and to share our love of plants, nature, and the environment over this period.
Our first meeting of the new club year will be Thursday, September 28 at 3:00 pm. Hostesses for this meeting will be Carol Crouch, Mary Howard, and Wanda Gardner. The meeting will be held at 390 CR 777, Devine. Good to Grow will be by Sandra Stacy and the auction item by Miriam Garcia. Our program will be the creation of Texas wildflower seed balls by all in attendance, so members and guests are encouraged to dress ready to “play in the dirt.” We’ll also be sharing our plans for an exciting 70th Anniversary year.
We welcome visitors and encourage anyone interested in plants, whether an expert or a novice, to come.
New officers for the 2017-18 club year will be greeting guests and members at this meeting. The officers are: President- DG Lawrence, Vice President- Sandra Stacy, Recording Secretary- Elsa Rodrigues, Corresponding Secretary- Pat Tampke, Treasurer- Elaine Lowthorp, Historian- Dorothy Saunders, Parliamentarian- Judy Boehmer.
We’ll look for you on Thursday, September 28 at 3:00 pm.
