Summer vacation is just a few weeks away, and with it come a number of sports camps for kids, all taught by Devine ISD coaches. Below are applications for baseball camp (June 11-14), volleyball camp (June 11-14), and basketball camp (June 18-20), and tennis camp (June 18-21).
Devine Baseball Camp
Future Warhorse baseball players will learn proper mechanics in hitting, fielding, and pitching. They will also learn the mental aspect of the game and how to have fun on the diamond. Parents, Coaches, etc. are allowed to come watch.
Dates: June 11-14
Times: 8:00 am-9:30 am (incoming 1st-3rd grade); 10:00 am-noon (incoming 4th-6th grade); 12:30 pm-2:30 pm (incoming 7th-9th grade)
Where: Warhorse Baseball Field
Cost: $50.00
Attire: Baseball pants, cleats (optional), baseball cap, glove, bat. If catcher, catcher’s equipment.

Arabian Volleyball Camp
Dates: June 11-14
Times: 2:00 pm-4:00 pm (entering 3rd-6th grade); 5:00 pm-7:00 pm (entering 7th-9th grade)
Where: DSAC
Cost: $50.00 (includes camp shirt)
Each camp will include coaches from the Arabian volleyball coaching staff. We will work on passing, setting, hitting, serving, blocking, and game play. Camps will be held in the DSAC. Please wear t-shirts, tights/shorts, volleyball/tennis shoes, and kneepads (NO tank tops). Register early to reserve a camp shirt! You may register the day of camp but shirts will not be guaranteed. Registrations may be dropped off at the high school until May 31. Please make checks payable to Leigh Anne McIver.

Fundamental offensive skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and defensive techniques will be stressed. There will also be time spent on dedication, school pride, and Devine TEAM spirit. Instructed by Devine Basketball Camp coaching staff.

Devine Tennis Camp
Date: June 18-21
Times: 8:00 am-9:30 am (entering 1st grade-5th grade); 10:00 am-12:00 pm (entering 6th-9th grade)
Fee: $50.00 (1st-5th grade), $60.00 (6th-9th grade). Price includes camp t-shirt if you pre-register. Cash is preferable, but if you need to pay by check, make all checks payable to Kandi Darnell.
Players may register on the first day of camp at the courts, but to ensure that players get a t-shirt, please pre-register. Before school ends, players may return the registration forms and money to Coach Darnell at the middle school or Coach Melanie Sostarich at the elementary school. After school ends, players may drop off their registration at the middle school until June 15. Players may register the first day of camp but will not get a t-shirt. This year’s camp will be taught by Coach Darnell, Jonathan Darnell, Sostarich, and some of our graduating seniors.
*Players will need to make sure to bring a racket. We will have a few small rackets to borrow if needed.
*Be sure to bring sunscreen and a cap. We will furnish water and snacks.
Players entering 1st-5th grade, in the early morning session, will learn basic skills. We like to take a fun approach to learning the game.
Players entering 6th-9th grades will learn about basic skills, strategies, and conditioning. This session focuses on getting players ready for competition.
