Devine Police Report May 4-10


May 4

3:52 PM – Complainant requested officer check high water in front of the Post Office.
6:41 PM – Officer assisted the Medina County Sheriff’s Office with detaining a female subject in the 100 block of N. Teel Dr. on three warrants. Subject was also in possession of drug paraphernalia.
7:07 PM – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of W. Colonial Pkwy. in reference to a 16-year-old male subject not returning home. The subject was entered as a runaway. Subject returned.
10:59 PM – Verbal disturbance between a husband and wife in the 500 block of Hickory Hwy. All was okay.
May 5
8:48 AM – Atascosa Co. in pursuit of a white Chevy, possibly heading toward Hwy. 173. Atascosa Co. lost vehicle on an FM road inside of Atascosa Co. Pursuit terminated.
4:34 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of LC Martin Dr. requested her daughter be entered as a runaway.
May 6
2:03 AM – Officers dispatched to the 200 block of S. Wilson Dr. for a disturbance. Parties separated prior to officers’ arrival. All was okay.
2:05 AM – Officers dispatched to the 200 block of S. Wilson Dr. in reference to shots fired in the area.
May 7
10:40 AM – Complainant in the 700 block of S. Atkins Ave. reported the theft of a handgun.
11:06 AM – Complainant reported three semi-tractor trailers parked in the turning lane at Walmart.
11:39 AM – Complainant parked car at store in the 100 block of Colonial Pkwy. on April 4 before 8:00 am. When complainant checked her wallet at approximately 5:00 pm on May 4, she observed cash and a check issued to her was missing.
11:48 AM – Officer assisted DPS with two detained males on NB IH-35 near mile marker 125.
3:15 PM – A male juvenile at Devine High School was found with drug paraphernalia.
3:45 PM – A juvenile female at Devine High School was found with two bags containing a green leafy material that appeared to be marijuana. The juvenile female was cited and released to her parents.
4:58 PM – Complainant reported a vehicle all over the roadway on SB IH-35. Unable to locate.
May 8
1:45 AM – Complainant found broken glass in the back parking lot of the Post Office where a mail truck is usually parked. Contact was made with the Postmaster. All was okay; the truck is at a repair shop.
2:59 AM – A Hispanic male at a store in the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. was asking people for money. The subject was a resident of a local residential care center and was given a courtesy ride back to the facility.
12:15 PM – A male subject in the 100 block of N. Commercial Dr. was cited for public intoxication and released to a family member.
3:29 PM – Officers assisted Public Works with a tree in the roadway in the 600 block of Mockingbird Ln. The tree was cleared from the road.
6:14 PM – A traffic signal facing north at the intersection of Colonial Pkwy. and Hwy. 132 was not working. Officer notified TxDOT.
10:43 PM -Officers assisted DPS on a traffic stop in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. Officer transported the male subject to jail.
May 9
12:40 PM – Complainant in the 1200 block of W. Hondo Ave. reported an older model gold Dodge truck and a newer model silver Mustang racing with each other.
2:50 PM – Complainant reported a newer model white Ford F-150 with a male subject in the bed was driving all over the roadway on Hwy. 132. Officer made location; unable to locate.
4:54 PM – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of Briscoe Ave. in reference to a patient on location being violent. All was okay; patient was acting fine.
6:30 PM – Complainant reported a tan PT Cruiser being driven strangely. Unable to locate.
8:09 PM – Officer dispatched to E. Commercial Ave. in reference to two male subjects walking along the railroad tracks. Unable to locate.
May 10
4:50 PM – Complainant in the 700 block of Libold Dr. reported a lime green vehicle driving fast in the area. Vehicle no longer on the roadway; unable to locate.
5:30 PM – Minor accident in the 100 block of Colonial Pkwy.
6:15 PM – Major accident on Teel Dr.
7:17 PM – Officer dispatched to the 100 block of Colonial Pkwy. in reference to a male subject on location acting strange. The subject was in possession of drug paraphernalia and was cited and released.
