Devine Police Report August 18-24

August 18
6:06 PM – Vehicle stopped in the 100 block of E. Colonial Pkwy for a traffic violation. The male driver was found to have a suspended license and was cited and released.
8:19 PM – Vehicle stopped in the 300 block of S. Teel Dr. for a traffic violation. A male subject and a female subject were found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and were cited and released.
August 19
2:20 AM – Officer assisted the Medina County Sheriff’s Office with translating.
7:05 AM – Minor accident in the 100 block of S. Washington Dr. Complainant stated she swerved to not hit a car and hit a curb and telephone pole instead.
11:00 AM – Officer made location in the 100 block of CR 6813 to assist a deputy with a burglary of a habitation in progress. Four people were arrested.
12:35 PM – Officer dispatched to Walmart for a detained shoplifter. A male subject was cited for theft less than $100 and released.
1:10 PM – An unknown male subject at Pico’s paid with a counterfeit $5.00 bill.
1:20 PM – Complainant stated he left his cell phone laying on a table at Star Laundry and someone must have taken it.
10:00 PM – A male subject asked for assistance, but became confrontational and combative with officer. The subject was taken to the hospital for an emergency detention.
August 20
9:20 AM – Complainant reported a blue Expedition driving all over the roadway in the 100 block of Colonial Pkwy. Unable to locate.
August 21
7:00 AM – A vehicle at Gas Go Mart had a punctured fuel tank and lost approximately 16 gallons of fuel.
8:14 PM – Natalia PD called for assistance with a large disturbance. All was okay.
August 22
3:15 AM – Complainant was in a truck with her boyfriend, who was driving. The complainant was upset about a phone issue. Officers advised it was a civil matter. Parties separated.
9:27 AM – A pop-up camper was stolen from the 400 block of Hickory Hwy. The camper was last seen the previous night. It has been entered into the state computer as stolen.
7:15 PM – An 18-wheeler was broken down in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. The vehicle was moved; all was okay.
August 23
4:58 PM – Complainant reported an 18-wheeler blocking traffic in the 300 block of Ross Ave. The 18-wheeler moved.
10:22 PM – Complainant in the 700 block of Libold Dr. reported a car alarm going off and people walking in the area. All was okay.
August 24
10:02 AM – Complainant at A Bushel and a Peck reported that a flatbed trailer had been taken. The trailer was entered into the state computer as stolen.
1:17 PM – Complainant brought in a counterfeit $10.00 bill he’d received in change from Walmart two days prior.
3:51 PM – Complainant reported a male subject walking in the roadway. The subject was checked out and cleared by EMS, then given a ride to the 500 block of E. Hondo Ave.
