Devine First United Methodist Church offered Drive-Thru Ashes to the community for Ash Wednesday last week for the first time. It was a blessing to serve 42 people and be able to pray with some of them. Thank you to Melissa at Party Rentals Etc. for allowing us to use her parking lot.
Devine First UMC had a beautiful Ash Wednesday service. Pastor Katie Toalson preached on Psalm 51, and we started our Lenten journey by adding prayer squares to a new Lenten prayer cross. Pastor Katie ended the night by delivering ashes to Medina County Deputy Mark Garrison. We can’t wait to offer Drive- Thru Ashes again next year!
The United Methodist Women from Devine First United Methodist Church made an extra special delivery on Valentine’s Day to the residents of Devine Health & Rehabilitation Center. Each resident received a homemade card and a bag full of goodies!
