The National Education Association’s Read Across America Day is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place on March 2 – Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Across the country, thousands of schools, libraries, and community centers participate by bringing together kids, teens, and books!
This year, the Driscoll Public Library is hosting a Read Across America Day Reading Challenge! Between February 1 and March 2, stop by the library to pick up a Read Across America Reading Log. Mark the number of minutes or hours spent reading, and when you have completed 10 hours return it to the library. Every 10 hours of reading will earn you an entry into a drawing for an adorable Cat in the Hat stuffed plush. This is open to readers of any and all ages!
Limit four entries per person. All completed logs must be in by 5:30 pm on March 2.
For more information, call the library at 830-663-2993 or stop by in person between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
