The Lytle Cross Country teams ran in the massive FEAST Cross Country Invitational last Saturday morning in San Antonio. The Lady Pirates placed 2nd in the 32-team varsity girls division with 181 points. Poth was the team champion with 103 points.
Running in both varsity boy divisions, the Pirates placed 7th in the 44-team open division and 8th in the 33-team 1A-4A division.

Thirty-three teams and 312 participants in the varsity boys division and 32 teams and 271 competitors in the varsity girls division provided plenty of tight finishes and scoring races last Saturday in San Antonio at the FEAST Patriots Cross Country Invitational.

Arabians 4-5 at competitive Seguin VB Tournament

A bunch of games in a relatively short amount of time has the Arabians sitting at 17-11 on the season with a little over a week until District 29-4A action is served up against Uvalde. Devine has played the most competitive schedule possible as they prepare to make a run at not only a district championship, but subsequent playoff championships as well.

Marion Bulldogs coming to town for Mustangs Friday

The Natalia Mustangs and the Marion Bulldogs will enter Friday night’s non-district game with 0-1 records as the Stangs are coming off a tough loss to Jourdanton as Marion suffered a 41-31 loss to Hondo.

Warhorses host Crystal City in Devine for Parent’s Night
Crystal City comes to Warhorse Stadium Friday night for each team’s second game of the 2023 season. The Javelinas are coming off a 42-28 setback at the hands of Brackettville and, similarly to Devine, are looking to get their first “W” of the season.
The opening night crowd was good, and the student section definitely showed out! Let’s Maroon Out the stadium this Friday for Parent’s Night.

Clutch Field-Goal lifts Pirates to opening victory!

There is a buzz around Lytle, Texas, as a new sense of hope and pride is alive and well. This pride escalated last Friday night, as Pirate Nation was able to “Dig Deep” with 28 seconds to go as the Pirates were set for a game winning 31 yard field goal attempt.
