Judge Celeste Brown was sworn in as the Justice of the Peace of Precinct 4 for Medina County on Friday, January 21, 2021 in Hondo at the Annex Building by Judge Klaus.
This is her second time to replace JP4 Tommy Ramirez while he is on suspension following the indictment in Bandera County in which all charges were ultimately dismissed on December 21, 2021, and Judge Ramirez was reinstated for several weeks.
Judge Brown is now serving again in the JP4 position following an indictment by the Medina County Grand Jury on the same charges, in which a hearing has been set for February 14.
Both Celeste Brown and Tommy Ramirez have filed to run for the office in the upcoming election on March 1, 2022 the Republican Primary, as well as two other candidates Tommy Grimes and Stanley O. Hulse.
There is not a Democratic opponent in this race.
