The Auxiliary at the Medina Healthcare System is an amazing group of ladies that have many commonalities, but all share the desire to give back to the community they live in. Each day the Auxiliary members dedicate a few hours of their day volunteering at the Medina Regional Hospital Gift Shop. This shop is volunteer led and all profits go back to the healthcare system to use for strategic investments or initiatives.

Fall Herbicide Seminar Oct. 12 in D’Hanis
The Medina County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is having a Fall Herbicide Seminar on Thursday, October 12th at the D’Hanis Community Center (191 CR 526, D’Hanis). Registration is at 8:30am, CEU Session is 9am-12pm and optional Picolinic Acid Chemistry Training is 12pm-1pm.
Registration cost is $20.00 if RSVP by October 5th and $25.00 thereafter, to RSVP call 830-741-6180.
3 CEU’s will be offered (1 General, 1 IPM, & 1 Laws and Regs) with an optional Picolinic Acid Chemistry Training (1 Laws and Regs).

23:28PM – Complainant on Rossville Rd called regarding vehicle on side of road. Vehicle stolen out of San Antonio by 16 year old male and in possession of a stolen firearm. Subject detained in Jourdanton Juvenile Detention Center.

Getting cooler finally…could be (for those of you who read last week’s edition) cause Lewis Stroud had a meeting with the Pope. Or, it could be because it is that time of year. And, no, it is not because of global warming. Global warming is a farce being force fed to the populace to further an agenda that is ultimately designed to make the American people compliant with the will of the Federal Government. Kinda early to rant ain’t it?
Looking Past the Hot and Dry
From time to time in the Tales I scribble, and the kind Ms. K. Holder allows to be published, I reference one of the “sayings” that was used in the Rosenauer Clan back when I was a child. For the Record, that was a LONG time ago! Some have hung around and I am recalling one today. While working long and hard, as most farmers did and STILL do, my Grand Dad would sometimes say:

My week was pretty quiet, it was one of those weeks that you have your days mixed up because Monday was a holiday. In fact, I thought Monday was Sunday and called my daughter asking if she was making a big dinner for a friend, her reply: “No Mom, it’s Monday”, my reply was: “Oops”. The week pretty much stayed that way. Workshop on Tuesday, and then gift shop on Wednesday, and on Saturday, my sister and I went to Victoria to do a little shopping, our main stop was at Hobby Lobby as she was looking for flowers.
