Evangelina Duncan, age 72, passed away, September 4, 2023. She was born in Atascosa, Texas to parents, Filemon and Dominga Alvarado, on February 4, 1951.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Filemon Alvarado and Dominga Alvarado; as well as her sister, Edwarda (LaLa) Compos and her husband, Valdamara A. Compos.
Evangelina is survived by her husband, Alfred Duncan; sister, Esmaralda Ollerbidez and husband, Rudy; brothers, Victor Alvarado and wife, Dorthy, Antonio Alvarado and wife, Olga, William Alvarado and wife, Lucy and Joe Alvarado. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Evangelina worked at H.E.B headquarters in San Antonio for seven years. Evangelina spent a lot of her free time gardening; she knew her way around a plumeria. Evangelina not only grew flowers, but she had a huge vegetable garden. If there was one thing Evangelina could do, it would be caring for her pets. She loved her pets, to no end.
A Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 5 PM-9 PM at Primrose Funeral Services Chapel in Lytle, Texas with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm.
Funeral service will start at 10 am, on September 14, 2023 at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Lytle, Texas. Services to conclude at the Church.
