Warhorses win third straight district game

In their third district game against Pearsall, the Warhorses won 12-5. With four Warhorses taking the mound, Jacob Barron, Newt Crouch, Dalton Kramer, and Truett Barron only 3 hits were allowed in the seven innings.
Devine’s scoring plays, bottom of the first, Isaiah Oropeza singles to third, Joseph Guajardo walked, and then Kramer doubled and Oropeza scored. Crouch singled to right and Guajardo crossed home. Barron walked, Brady Harrell struck out, Robert Rios ground out but Kramer scored. Chad Lawson hit a single to center and Crouch and Seguin scored the last two runs of the inning. Bottom of the second, 2 outs, with bases loaded Rios walked and Guajardo was forced home. Lawson hit a ground ball to and reached first after an error by the shortstop while Crouch scored.
Bottom of the fifth, with 2 outs, and Kramer on third, Harrell doubled and then reached third on an error and Kramer scored. Rios hit a doubled to right and Harrell scored. Lawson walked, Miller singled to left and Martinez (in for Rios) and Lawson scored. Oropeza singled to center, Guajardo single to center and Miller scored the final run for Devine and to make the score 12-4.
Kramer threw 26 strikes in 50 pitches, Barron threw 24 strikes in 52 pitches, Crouch 11 strikes in 15 pitches, and Barron 8 strikes in 16 pitches.
Oropeza 1 run, 3 hits. Guajardo 2 runs, 1 hit, 1 RBI. Kramer 2 runs, 2 hits, 1 RBI. Crouch 2 runs, 2 hits, 1 RBI. Harrell 1 run, 1 hit, 1 RBI. Rios 1 hit, 3 RBIs. Lawson 1 run, 1 hit, 2 RBIs. Miller 1 run, 2 hits, 2 RBIS. Sequin 1 run. Martinez 1 run.
