Friday, January 3rd, the Warhorses faced Sunny Brook and won 58-57. Leading 31-16 at the half, Sunny Brook picked up the intensity and made the Warhorse defense work harder. Able to keep the lead with their strong defense, the score was 41-38 at the end of the third. Sunny Brook fought to the end but could not stop the Warhorses from winning.
Cash Walker led with 16 points and Leonard Pompa was close behind with 13. Conner Schmidt had 9 points, Jacob Oyola 8, Dalton Kramer 7, Justin Contreras 3 and Brady Cardenas had 2 points.
Last week on January 3rd, the Warhorses faced Central Catholic and lost 37-63. Schmidt and Cardenas each scored 7 points, Pompa and Burford each scored 6, Walker 5, Oyola 4 points, and Contreras 2 points.
District starts January 12 against Carrizo Springs. The Warhorses will play there and the games start at 5pm.
