Warhorse JV2 battles Seguin

Devine JV2 baseball began their season with a tilt against Seguin Monday night. The Horses dropped a tight contest 3-2 in six innings.
The Horses and Seguin matched each other for single runs in the second inning as Devine scored on a Seguin error in the top half but surrendered the tying run in the bottom half. After taking a 2-1 lead in the top of the fifth inning, Seguin quickly tied things up on a double in the bottom half.
Pitching dominated the storylines of this game as Devine struck out four batters, while Seguin struck out nine Warhorse batters. Anthony Saldivar started for Devine, pitching three innings and allowing only two hits and one run while recording three strikeouts.
Alfredo Ramirez led Devine at the plate going two-for-three and a run batted in. Saldivar, Edward Perez, and Shayne Scarbrough each collected a hit.
