Warhorse District 14-4 DII All-District football selections

Devine junior Justin Contreras was selected Unanimous Most Valuable Player by the District 14-4A DII head coaches after the conclusion of the district season. Contreras led the Warhorses with 120 rushes for 1,099 yards and 12 touchdowns. Justin also caught 15 passes for 197 yards and four additional touchdowns.
Fabian “Buddy” Santos was the District Newcomer of the Year for his outstanding play at the offensive back position. Earning Unanimous First-Team All-District recognition for Devine on the offensive side of the ball was Sergio Martinez (fullback), Christian Gerlach (tight end), Mason Burford (receiver), Jesus Hernandez (guard), John Schnautz (tackle), and Jayce Hackebeil (tackle).
Receiving First Team All-District was Geoffrey Seal (center) and Leonard Pompa (punter) while Brady Hackebeil secured Offensive Utility recognition.
Second Team All-District on offense went to Isaiah Oropeza (quarterback), Leonard Pompa (running back), Aaron Rivera (guard), and to Jacob Featherly (kicker).
Unanimous First Team All-District defense went to Leonard Pompa (outside linebacker), Blaine Miller (outside linebacker), Xsavior Martinez (cornerback), and Brady Hackebeil (safety).
Netting First Team All-District was Jayce Hackebeil (defensive end), Sergio Martinez (inside linebacker), Mason Burford (returner), and Hunter Maxwell (defensive utility).
Second Team All-District was Tristen Kannard (tackle), Payton Carr (outside linebacker), and Xavier Contreras (cornerback). Defensive Wildcard went to Christian Gerlach.
