Warhorse basketball has started and faced St. Anthony last night. Led again by Coach Paul Wells, Evan Eads, and Quenton Sanders, the Warhorses have a full schedule before district starts. This Friday, the Varsity will play Gervin Academy at 6:00pm. November 25th, both the Varsity and JV will play Natalia at home and then all three teams will head to Brook Academy on November 26th.
The Varsity will compete in the Marion tournament December 5-7th and their home tournament December 12-14th. Teams competing in the Devine Tournament are Brooks Academy, Dilley, Wharton, Jourdanton, Pearsall, Hondo, Floresville, and Devine. The Warhorses last tournament is December 30-31st in Rockport Fulton. District starts January 3rd against Cotulla.
The Freshman and JV teams will host their home tournament this Thursday and Saturday and their second home tournament December 5/7th. They will also compete in the Pleasanton 9th/JV tournament December 13-14th.
The Warhorse basketball season is in full swing under head Coach P.J. Wells. With a full schedule before district starts the Warhorse have a chance to get their teams in shape and ready to win district!
