Her parents were William Lafayette Pierce and Rebecca Amelia Nolin Pierce.
She was married to Marshall C. Davis for 58 years, who preceded her in death.
Velma is survived by her sons, Ronald Davis and his wife, Tammy, Virgil Davis and his wife, Mary.
Her granddaughter, Catrina Davis Pedigo, and great grandchildren, Clarissa Hudson and Hunter Johnston.
