The Varsity Arabians faced the aggressive Lady Bears of LaVernia and won a hard fought game with free throws in the end. The Arabians lead each quarter but fought hard for each point. Scoring became more difficult when the Lady Bears switched to a zone defense. “We struggled to score some when they changed to their zone defense but the girls did a great job of working the ball around to find open teammates for quality shots,” stated Coach Jim Sessions.
Lily Stricker put 12 points on the board for the Arabians, Abbie Whitaker had 10, Sierra Pompa 8, Preslee Quisenberry 7, and Alissa Stehle had 4 points. The final score was 41-40 which brought the season record to 4-4.
“I was super proud of how hard the team worked on the defensive end of the floor,” said Coach Sessions.
The Varsity Arabians will compete in the Marion Tournament on November 30-December 2.
