Vada Avant age 96, of Atascosa, Texas passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. Vada was born on January 5, 1924 in Levelland, Texas to parents, Horace Carter and Elvira Swope.
Vada is preceded in death by her husband, George Stanley Avant; parents, Horace and Elvira Carter; son-in-law, Earl A. Rudes; brothers, Joe Carter, Claude Carter, Charles Carter; sisters, Lyndel Kinny, Gladys Carter.
Vada is survived by her daughter, Carol Rudes; brothers, Kenneth Leon Carter, Floyd Dale Carter; sister, Artie Mae Horner; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 14, 2020 10:00 AM till service time 11:00 AM Hurley Funeral Home Chapel Lytle, Texas with interment to follow in Blackhill Cemetery.
