Stuffed animal workshop, book sale fundraiser for Driscoll Public Library this Saturday

Kiddos can stuff their own 15-inch space alien at the stuffed animal workshop on Saturday, June 22. A book sale will be held at the same time.

The Friends of the Driscoll Public Library are hosting a stuffed animal workshop and book sale to raise money for the library on Saturday, June 22 in the George S. Woods Community Center.
Stuffed animal workshop
You are in for a GREAT time when you join us for the workshop where wishes come true and animals are made! During the workshop guests hand-stuff a cuddly alien pal – a perfect match to this year’s Summer Reading Program theme, A Universe of Stories – make a wish on a star, and name their new friend before taking them home.
Each kit is $20.00, and includes a 15-inch alien, stuffing, a rainbow star, birth certificate, and reusable take-home bag. Quantities are limited, so call the library at 830-663-2993 to reserve your new stuffed friend today!
Book sale
Adult and children’s books of all genres will be available at the book sale. Books include previous library books, as well as donations, and are both hardback and paperback.
Can’t find any books to read but still want to help support the library? Stock up on old books to use for crafts and repurposing! There will be samples on display of ways to repurpose old books into unique gifts and home decor.
For more information, call the library at 830-663-2993.
