Steven Harvey Payton, 53, passed away unexpectedly on August 7, 2017. He was born February 09, 1964 in San Antonio, TX toHarvey and Betty Payton and graduated from Southside High School. He was employed as a Fitter Welder at York/Johnson Controls for 26 years. Steven enjoyed playing golf, keeping the garden flourishing, and spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by so many.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents: Payton and Schlarb; aunts and uncles: PeeWee Pittman, Emma Lee (Ray Sr.) Davidson, Henry Caraway, Frances (Joe) Horton.
He is survived by his soulmate, Sissi Ormsby, brothers: Bruce (Diane) Payton, Alan (Joy) Payton, Troy (Jeanette) Payton; sister: Sherry Payton; Aunts and Uncles: Viola “Cooch” Pittman, James (Pearl) Payton, Elizabeth “Sissie” Caraway, Minelda “Nellie” (Dale) McKay, Mary (Mannie) Hernandez, Charles Schlarb, Robert (Punkin) Schlarb; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
