Rebecca “Becky” Jane Bennett Lutz passed away on April 16, 2019 at her home in La Coste at the age of 71 years. She was born May 9, 1947 in San Antonio, one of four daughters born to Fred W. Bennett, Jr. and Bertha Theresa Keller Bennett.
Becky graduated from Medina Valley High School in 1965. She continued her education and graduated from Baptist School of Nursing in 1968 as a registered nurse.
On May 24, 1969, Becky married Albert Marck Lutz at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Becky and Albert were blessed with over 45 years of marriage at the time of Albert’s passing on December 5, 2014.
Survivors include her son, Karl Lutz of La Coste; grandchildren, Dakota, Hannah and Austin Lutz, all of La Coste; mother, Bertha T. Bennett of La Coste; sisters, Cheryll Biediger (Sylvan) of La Coste, Denise Conricote (Martin) of Dallas and Pamela Youngman (Richard) of La Costeas well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Becky was preceded in death by her father, Fred W. Bennett, Jr.; and her husband, Albert Lutz.
Visitation was Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Rosary and Mass of the Resurrection will be Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in Becky’s memory to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
