Pirate Band to perform at UIL Region Contest this Saturday at 11:15 am

The Lytle Pirate Band competed at both the Cotulla Cowboy Round Up, as well as the God’s Country Marching Festival in Hondo last weekend. They will compete in the UIL Region XI Marching Competition this Saturday.
“It was a really long day after getting home late after an away game, but this group of kids pulled it off. I am very pleased to announce that the Band earned the Best Drum Majors award AND 2nd place overall in Cotulla, then they followed that up with a 3rd place finish in Hondo!” said Joshua Chessher, Director of Bands, Lytle ISD.
This year’s program is entitled “reIMAGINED”. Directors are Joshua Chessher, MJ Robles and Jason Keown. Drum Majors are Amanda Soto and Diamond Smith-Walker.
“If you want to come see the Pirate Band compete, it’s not too late! This coming Saturday we will perform at 11:15am in Hondo at the UIL Region 11 Marching Competition in the AAA Class and we would love to see a sea of Black and Gold out there in the crowd cheering the kids on!”
