Patsy Jo Delavan Butler, of Castroville, passed away on January 31, 2018 in Castroville at the age of 87 years. She was born October 29, 1930 in San Antonio, one of three children of Erin Macon Delavan and Edna May Johnston Delavan. In June of 1949, she married Mason H. Butler. Their marriage was blessed with four children.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mason H. Butler, Sr.; son, Mason H. Butler, Jr.; granddaughter, Megan Ashley Rifenburgh; brother and sister-in-law, Macon and Marlene Delavan.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Gilbert Echtle of La Coste, Linda and Ace Rifenburgh of Castroville, Lisa and Andy Iwanski of Corpus Christi; grandchildren, Lindy Hall, Erin Rifenburgh, Jennifer Echtle, Melissa Echtle; great granddaughter, Adrianna Contreras; brother and sister-in-law, Emery and Helen Delavan of Castroville; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Friday, Feb. 2, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Funeral Service was Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 at 12:00 pm at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Interment followed at San Jose Burial Park in San Antonio.
