One arrested in burglary case, deputies hunt for second suspect

One suspect was arrested by Medina County Sheriff’s deputies this past March 7, and is charged with Burglary of a Building and Claim Lottery Prize Fraud. A second suspect is still on the loose.
“This arrest was made for the burglary of the D’Hanis Country Mart in mid-February. The arrest was made after reviewing video surveillance from the store and by tracking the lottery tickets, which suspects attempted to cash all the area including in Hondo, Castroville, and San Antonio area,” stated Chief Deputy Gilbert Rodriguez.
The first suspect, a male, was booked into Medina County Jail with $7,500 and $50,000 in surety bonds.
