Natalia Police Report July 5-12

July 5
7:17 PM – Officer responded to Miller St. for a male subject that overdosed on Xanax pills and was unresponsive. Officer got there along with EMS. EMS took custody of the male subject and later transported him and his mother to the Southwest General Hospital for further medical evaluation.
5:27 PM – Officer responded to the Dollar General in Natalia, about sparks coming from the ice cream cooler inside the store. The fire department arrived on scene and isolated the power source. No further damage was done or reported.
July 12
10:22 PM – Officer conducted a traffic stop and discovered a female had a strong smell of alcohol on her breath and had been drinking. Officer conducted several field sobriety tests on her and later tested her breath on an intoxilyzer which resulted positive over the legal limit. The female was later arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
