Lytle Police Report July 8-14

July 8
12:50 AM – Officer responded to 14800 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a suspicious person standing near the complainant’s driveway. The suspect was located walking on Railroad St. The suspect denied the allegation and stated he was just walking by towards the HEB C-Store.
6:05 AM – Officer responded to Wisdom Rd. at Mason St. for a report of a one vehicle crash. The driver hit the Masonic Lodge fence.
7:35 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 N at Mile Marker 132 to assist a vehicle with its hazards on. Officer spoke with the driver who stated she had a flat tire. Officer changed the tire for her.
July 9
12:00 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a civil matter – damage to property.
1:14 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus and talked to complainant in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle. HEB Plus video was reviewed and there was no sign of entry to vehicle made while at the HEB Plus property.
2:45 PM – Officer responded to 18000 Blk. of Lake Wind Dr. for a report of a disturbance. Officer made contact with the family inside the residence but discovered it was all verbal between the father and daughters.
3:22 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of an ice chest ($29) that was taken from a display. Suspect was located a few days later and cited and released.
3:36 PM – Officer responded to Pirate Express and talked to officer in reference to found property.
6:33 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to receiving harassment calls and text messages.
10:05 PM – While patrolling near FM 2790 E, officer noticed a man walking down the street. Officer identified the male who stated he was headed to San Antonio to a homeless shelter. Officer provided a courtesy ride to IH 35 at Loop 410.
July 10
1:20 AM – Officer responded to 16000 Blk. of Lake Shore Dr. for a report of loud music. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
1:25 AM – While patrolling the Lake Shore Subdivision officer noticed suspicious activity from a vehicle that was parked with the door open. A 27-year-old male subject was arrested for having an Active Warrant for an Original Charge of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child (out of SAPD). Subject was transported to Medina Co. Jail.
4:08 AM – Officer responded to Brown’s Tackle & Gun for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
9:00 AM – Officer responded to 18800 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. and talked to officer in reference to a missing person.
11:54 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and reported illegal dumping of tire at his property.
2:20 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to an officer in reference to a wallet that was found at the city park about two weeks before.
3:50 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store to a report of a two vehicle crash.
4:09 PM – Officer responded to Little Caesars for a report of a two vehicle crash. One vehicle fled the scene.
5:03 PM – Officers responded to Dollar Tree for a report of a theft of $20 from a cash register till that was left on a desk in the office.
7:20 PM – Officer responded to Tots to Teens for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
7:40 PM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of N. Prairie St. and conducted a follow up investigation on an open case.
9:58 PM – Officers responded to 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. for a report of a female subject who barricaded herself in her home and was cutting her wrist. Officer made contact with the subject and she was transported to Southwest General Hospital on an emergency detention.
11:09 PM – Officers responded to HEB C-Store for a report of suspicious activity. Officer made contact with a store employee who stated a subject tried to leave without paying for a fountain drink. The employee was able to get the drink back but the male subject fled on foot.
July 11
12:40 AM – Officer responded to Main St. at McDonald St. for a report of the traffic light malfunctioning. TXDOT was advised.
5:55 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of narcotics found in the store. Officer seized the property and submitted into evidence.
8:30 AM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprints for employment purposes.
8:45 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to fearing for his safety. Complainant lived outside city limits, Medina Co. was contacted and arrived at the Police Station and took over.
9:59 AM – Officer responded to US Post Office for a report of a two vehicle crash.
10:05 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Community Cemetery and talked to complainant in reference to a bench being knocked over. It appeared as if the bench was struck by a tire causing it to fall over.
11:05 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to an employee at a nearby store that was being rude to her. Officer advised to file a complaint with the corporate manager of the store as it was not a police matter.
6:07 PM – Officer responded to Taco Bell and talked to officer in reference to threats being made to slash complainant’s tires.
6:22 PM – Officer responded to O’Reilly Auto Parts for a report of a stolen vehicle. Complainant stated he got to work at 2pm and when he went to leave at 6 pm the same day his 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 was gone.
7:30 PM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of a suspicious truck driving in the area. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
7:45 PM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of N. Prairie St. for a follow up investigation on an open case.
8:13 PM – Officer responded to Bealls for a report of a complainant being harassed at the parking lot. Officer made contact with the complainant, the suspect had left prior to officer’s arrival.
11:14 PM – Officers responded to Best Western Plus for a report of a suspicious person. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
July 12
1:48 AM – While on patrol at 14400 Blk. of Main St. officer observed a vehicle parked on the improved shoulder. The vehicle was not creating a traffic hazard and it was not reported stolen.
2:25 AM – While conducting a building check at Morales Feed & Supply, officers discovered the side gate wide open and the padlock was unlocked. There were no signs that it had been tampered with and no other signs of criminal activity.
4:22 AM – Officer responded to Dollar General to assist Atascosa Co. with a burglary call. Unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered the building and stole items.
7:21 AM – Officers responded to the 14900 Blk. of Harbour Street for a report of a disturbance. Investigation led to the arrest of a 41-year-old male subject for Assault Causing Bodily Injury – Family Member and Injury to a Child.
11:22 AM – Officer received a call from Atascosa Co. and was informed of the recovery of the stolen 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 that was reported stolen on 7/11/19. The vehicle was recovered by Bexar Co.
9:14 PM – Officer assisted Child Protective Service with a civil standby by in the 14900 Blk. of Harbour Street.
11:00 PM – Officer assisted with unloving a vehicle at the HEB C-Store.
11:48 PM – While on patrol at the HEB C-Store, officer noticed a vehicle matching the description from a recent theft. Officer initiated contact and identified the suspect who confessed to the theft at the HEB C-Store on 7/9/19. A 41-year-old male subject was issued a citation for Theft <$100.
July 13
1:40 AM – Officer red tagged an abandoned vehicle in the 17900 Blk. of FM 2790.
9:18 AM – Officer responded to the 15700 Blk. of Main St. for a hospice death.
9:43 AM – Complainant requested extra patrols around the U-Haul Truck Rentals due to suspicious circumstances.
1:46 PM – Officer was dispatched to the HEB C-Store for a Debit Card Abuse.
10:32 PM – Officer provided a courtesy ride from the HEB Plus to CR 6844.
10:50 PM – Officer responded to the 1000 Blk. of PR D92 to Assist ACSO with a possible burglary in action. Officer was cancelled prior to arrival.
July 14
12:16 AM – Officer responded to the HEB C-Store for a possible intoxicated driver.
1:50 AM – Officer conducted a traffic stop on the Frontage Road of IH 35 at FM 3175 that resulted in the arrest of a 34-year-old subject for DWI – First.
7:17 PM – Officer responded to the 19800 Blk. of Bruce St. in reference to a civil matter.
10:24 PM – Officer responded to the Exxon for a report of a person shining a flashlight into the business. Officer located the subject who was at the location performing work.
