Natalia Police Report April 22-27


April 22

7:33 PM – Officer responded to the 900 block of 6th St. about shots fired in the area. Officer investigated further and found that the shots were coming off CR 6717 in the county. Officer was unable to locate the shots fired.
11:26 PM – Officer responded to Love’s Truck Stop about a suspicious male subject sitting in a green Chevrolet in the employee parking area. Officer went and made contact with the male subject, telling him he was making the female employees nervous and wanted him to leave. Officer warned him about loitering on the property and had him leave.
April 23
5:26 PM – Officer observed two snip signs in the Mustang Estates neighborhood on wooden stakes. Officer removed the signs and disposed of the signs at the Police Department.
April 24
2:01 PM – Officer responded to the IH-35 East access road for a stalled 18-wheeler. Officers worked the traffic around the stalled truck until a tow truck arrived on scene and removed the truck. Officers later went back in service.
2:47 PM – Officer made contact with a male subject who wanted to file theft charges against his older brother who had stolen his shotgun from inside his closet and pawned it at the Buffalo Pawn in Lytle. Officer is following up on the theft and is collecting all the evidence necessary to file the case.
April 25
12:05 AM – Officer responded to Natalia High School for an alarm call. Officer walked around the school and all doors and windows were intact. Officer cleared the school and went back in service.
12:37 PM – Officer responded to the 500 block of Barlett St. about a burglary of a motor vehicle. Officer investigated the scene and collected all the information needed for a report. Case pending.
April 26
6:30 PM – Officer was on patrol when he observed a male subject whom he knew to have an active felony warrant out of the Medina County Sheriff’s Office located standing at the 700 block of 4th St. Officer got out and made the arrest and the warrant was confirmed. Officer transported the male subject to the Medina County Jail without incident.
8:35 PM – Officer made a report of a damaged gate belonging to the Natalia Little League field. Officer took pictures of the damaged door and collected all of the complainant’s information and description of a possible 4×4 pickup that backed into the gate.
April 27
7:20 PM – Officer responded to the 200 block of 8th St. about a lost dog. Officer collected the dog and knew whose dog it was. Officer went to the dog owner’s residence on 9th St. but was unable to locate anyone. Officer took the dog to the dog kennels and later contacted the dog’s owner and returned the dog.
7:34 PM – Officer responded to the 400 block of Bartlett St. about a female trespassing. Officer made the location and made contact with the female, who was asked to leave the property per the owner. The female complied and left.
9:15 PM – Officer received a phone call from a complainant about a possible stolen car. Officer spoke to the female caller and she stated she had borrowed a car from a dealership in San Antonio while they looked for a car she was requesting. It was later discovered the dealership had reposed the car they loaned the customer. The caller stated she was out $800 for down payment. The officer stated her case was a civil matter and needed to be dealt with through civil court.
