Natalia Middle School closes out 2021 XC season

The Natalia Middle School Cross Country runners closed out their 2021 season at the District 27-3A in Poth last Wednesday afternoon. Eleven competitors ran for the final time this season.
Head Coach Kim Lane said, “Congrats to you all!!! I am proud of your efforts and I am excited for the future!”
8th Mustangs
Rudy Cruz led all Natalia runners as he ran his 8th grade, two-mile race in 13:14. Cruz placed 9th overall in his division.
Peyton Alderete came in 12th with a time of 13:40.
8th Lady Mustangs
Jaleen Juarez paced the 8th grade Lady Mustangs placing in the top 20. Juarez was 18th with a time of 17:19.
Abriella Garza and Elena Ottinger also competed. Garza came in 25th with a time of 18:43 while Ottinger was 26th at 19:45.
7th Mustangs
Jordan Rodriguez paced the 7th grade Mustangs coming in 18th at 17:16. Christopher Tapia came in 19th only 13-seconds behind Rodriguez.
Jordan Castro placed 21st at 17:45.
7th Lady Mustangs
Jordyn Rymers, Camila Gastelum, and Andrea Martinez come in 17th, 18th, 19th respectively for the 7th grade Lady Mustangs.
Rymers ran her two-miles in 20:54 while teammates Gastelum ran a 21:44 and Martinez a 22:02.
