Natalia JV teams beat Pearsall

It was not an easy win for the Natalia JV1 squad when they faced Pearsall. The Lady Mustangs won their first set 25-22 and then dropped their second set 13-25. They had to work hard in the third set because Pearsall wanted the win just as much and Natalia was able to keep ahead and win 15-9.
“One thing you can count on this team is to have energy. Every day they bring their best. This alone has helped them overcome adversity and will give them a competitive edge in district play. We have a large group of of young girls that have been working hard and are very coachable. We can see the growth in the younger programs already,” said Coach Tara Cortinas.

Natalia JV2
The Natalia JV2 team faced Pearsall’s freshman team on September 13th and came away with a 2-0 win. The JV2 team is made up of 8 freshman, 2 sophomores, and 2 juniors, this experience advantage helped with the wins at 25-17 and 25-22 but they still had to work hard and communicate against the though Pearsall players.
“The JV2 team has improved tremendously sinve the start of the season. They have done a great job ar learning new positions and we are excited to see them continue to develop,” stated Coach Cortinas.

The JV2 team will face the freshman team from Jourdanton Friday and then Cotulla’s freshman team on September 24th.
