Natalia Junior High Band earns UIL sweepstakes

On March 8, 2017 the Natalia Junior High Band competed in the UIL Concert & Sight Reading Contest in Pleasanton. They received First Divisions on both categories of the contest which earned them the Sweepstakes Award. Some of the judges’ comments were, “Band plays with a very mature sound,” and “Nice work on intonation and flow of the music.”
This is the first time Natalia Junior High has gone to the UIL C/SR contest. “These students worked very hard and we are extremely proud of them!”
Up next is the JH Solo & Ensemble Contest, followed by the Spring Concert, which will include all the Bands at Natalia I.S.D.
