Natalia 7th grade volleyball splits games with Dilley

B team
The 7th grade B team from Natalia suffered their third district loss of the season to Dilley on Monday night. The young Lady Mustangs struggled with serving but never gave up and fought through both sets with pride. They will face Lytle Monday, October 21st.
“The 7th grade B team dropped two sets to Dilley tonight. The girls started off slow allowing Dilley to get ahead in set 1. In set 2, Natalia came out ready to fight. Unfortunately serves proved costly allowing free points and ending in another dropped set; back to work tomorrow to get ready for Lytle at home,” said Coach Jasmine Vasquez.
A team
Natalia’s 7th grade A team extended their district record to 3-1 on Monday night after beating Dilley 25-20 and 26-24. Their second game was a huge fight to the finish after coming from behind to win. The A team will face Lytle at home Monday, October 21st and then play in Jourdanton on October 28th.
“The 7th grade A team took home the win tonight against Dilley. With too many dropped serves, it allowed the opposing team to stick around. In the end our girls did a great job meeting their personal goal of communicating and getting a hit every change in the second set. I couldn’t be any more proud of their fight to the end and coming back to get the win after a huge deficit,” stated Coach Jasmine Vasquez.
