Mustang Baseball set for season opener

The Natalia Mustangs will battle Randolph in their final scrimmage of the season, this Friday in Universal City at Randolph Field I.S.D. This will conclude their three scrimmages prior to their season opener this coming Tuesday, February 25th on the road in Johnson City.
“We are very proud of the way our boys have represented our program in the first two scrimmages against Poth and Poteet,” Coach Kasey Crowther said. “Our seniors have done a great job leading this young group of players.”
According to Crowther, improvements have been in the areas of fielding and hitting in each of the first two scrimmages.
“We still have a lot of work to do,” Crowther said. “I am excited to see how we develop over the course of the season.”
Natalia will have their basketball boys back once their season concluded on press night, February 18th.
The season opener Tuesday will begin with JV competition at 4:30 p.m. with the varsity set to begin around 7:00 p.m. in Johnson City. Head to Eagle Country and support the boys in blue as they open the 2020 season!
